Jessica Hoel Briarmoon   NW Distributor for Akzentz & Retreat Co-Director  
Jess   Quickly making her way onto the education scene, Jess has been teaching the past 12 of her 15 years as a nail technician. Her passion for gels has helped her create techniques that are easy for beginners and produce nails that are long lasting and keep clients loyal.  Signature services like her "30 day manicure," Rock Star toes and Glitter fade techniques excite nail techs passionate about enhancing their careers.  In 2009 she won the International Nails Magazine cover contest with a set of nails and taking the photo herself. Jess's Nail Studio, LuvNailz, was featured in Nails Magazine in 2012.  Passionate about sharing knowledge, Jess works with a team of other volunteers to put on the NW Nailtech Retreat and she looks forward to educating at the the "Nail Those Profits at Sea" cruises! In 2016 Jess launched a new salon and Professional Nail Tech Training Center in Bothell, Washington. Keep an eye on LuvNailz.com for classes coming to the Seattle area year round!  
       
Ellen Torchia   LCN Educator, Massage Therapist & Retreat Co-Director  
Ellen   Ellen is a 24yr salon industry veteran with experience in both massage and nails. A former top 10 international competitor she has also been a competition judge. Her experience includes both salon ownership and work in high end spas. Ellen is an associate producer on Nail Talk Radio and the newest educator for LCN Barefoot. Her background as an educator has included AEFM electric file safety, salon sanitation, business education and airbrushing. Mentoring others to reach their goals is a passion.
She is a long time consultant to Badger Airbrush Company and continues to provide graphics services to many nail techs and salons.  
 
       
Holly Schippers   The Fingernail Fixer & Social Media Expert  
Holly   A nail professional since 1999, Holly L Schippers attended the Creative Institute in England in 2004. An Education Ambassador for CND (Creative Nail Design), Holly is widely known as the FingerNailFixer, has received multiple awards, and is a Contributing Editor for NAILS Magazine including a bi-weekly blog the FingerNailFixer. Holly believes education is the foundational component in producing professional nail technicians and pursues her professional salon career in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She enjoys sharing her love and passion for nails to advance the industry by helping each individual professional advance themselves.  
       
Nancy King   Salon Safety, E-File and Competition Educator  
Nancy King   Nancy King is the industry’s leading salon safety expert on safe salon standards. She began her regulatory experience by serving on the Maryland State Board of Cosmetologists. Since then, she has provided research, support data, and testimony both at the state and federal level on a variety of regulatory issues pertaining to safe practices. Having worked with state boards, state and federal agencies, industry associations as well as schools and salons, she has also held prestigious positions with numerous industry organizations. She is also a champion nail competitor and international competition judge and has been a cover artist as well as an author of many articles for Nailpro magazine. Nancy has also been a contributing author of national textbooks as well as licensing examinations used by state Boards. Ms. King has provided standardized education on many subjects including writing the national standards for safe electric filing and pedicure cleaning and disinfecting. Nancy has served as a consultant to and has appeared in many television networks stories about safety in nail salons including the captivating story about the infection outbreak in Watsonville, California and another on MMA shown on ABC, 20/20, CNN, Paul Zahn Now as well as 2 appearances on the Rachael Ray show. Nancy has been retained by many prominent law firms throughout the United States as an expert witness in salon malpractice cases in both state and federal courts and has a Texas Supreme Court decision stating that she is not only an expert in all aspects of Cosmetology but in salon management as well.  
       
Lisa Ann Bowles   LCN Educator& Author

  Lisa Ann is a 34 year veteran of the beauty industry. In 1997 she began to focus on the more on the nail care side of the industry. Since then she has worked with the media well over 20 times in regard to chemical awareness and safety/disinfection issues. Lisa Ann is the author of Nail Care Nightmares, a book exposing the hidden dangers found in the nail care industry, owner of New Nail Creations located in Clovis California, National Trainer LCN USA, Educator ATWOOD Industries and Advisory Board member for Medinail Learning Center.  
       
Deedee Desbiens   Freelance Artist

  Originally from Las Vegas, NV, DeeDee Desbiens has been in the nail art industry for over 22 years, working coast to coast as an independent nail artist and also as a traveling educator. She first got her start with Vicki Peters of the Peters Perspective & Nailpro magazine and started learning the ropes of the industry while also building a clientele of her own. Discovering that nail art came naturally to her, she disregarded the degree in Business Finance she had obtained and ventured into a full-time career of nails. Within just a year of being licensed, DeeDee began entering in nail competitions, winning time and time again with an emphasis on pink & white sculptured nails and freehand nail art. It wasn't long after that she ventured into becoming a judge for these very same competitions that she once was a participant in. DeeDee's freelance work parlayed her into the fashion spotlight, bringing her opportunities to work as a nail artist for the MTV Billboard awards, backstage for VH1 and as an independent nail artist for many high-profile celebrities.
She uses her imagination and creative hand-made designs to set her work apart from the rest in the nail industry. Deedee has been an honored International Master Educator for one of the largest European company's known for the most grueling educator training. She shares the same belief that continuing education is a process in which you can never stop learning. DeeDee has proven to be a successful fashion creator, not a fashion follower.

  2017 Nailpro Cup Winner! For nearly twenty years Allie Baker, EzFlow® Global Brand Ambassador and winner of the 2015 NAILPRO Cup, has been a constant in the competitive nail industry. In addition to being a dedicated mother, salon owner and cover artist, she’s a 19-year nail industry veteran, and highly respected mentor and educator. Baker hails from Medford, Oregon and has traveled to over 25 countries educating and mentoring others with EzFlow® for the past 15 years. In addition to teaching worldwide, Baker also consults on new product development as part of her role as EzFlow® Global Brand Ambassador. Her passion is evident and her artistry is breathtaking with her designs gracing the covers of top industry publications NAILS and NAILPRO.
Some of Baker's proudest accomplishments are winning the Nailpro Cup in 2015 and being a part of the winning team in both 2015 and 2016. She doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon and continues to support and educate the industry with competition-winning brand EzFlow®. She feels education is incredibly important in this ever changing industry and loves to learn as much as she loves to teach.

  Nikki Payton is an educator for EzFlow and ibd from Medford, Oregon. She is a nail competitor, mother of two, and an accomplished nail tech at Nail It Pro Nail Studio in her hometown. As an up-and-comer, Payton has made a name for herself at competitions and has respectfully placed at several nail shows around the country including being a part of the winning competition team in both 2015 and 2016 Her talent, along with EzFlow and ibd, has helped Payton become extremely proficient at inspiring others toward a successful career in the nail industry. Her passion and infectious drive help shape the future of the nail industry with EzFlow and ibd award winning products.  
       
Shiori Durham   ORLY  

 

Shiori

  Shiori began her nail career 13 years ago and has been designing nail art and teaching nail enhancements to students internationally. She has earned many esteemed titles including 2016 NAILPRO Cup Individual Champion and 2013 Asia Nail Festival Professional Division Grand Champion.
Her precise and beautiful work has been featured on the cover of Stylish Nail Magazine and Naitiful Magazine in Japan and NAILPRO Magazine in United States. Shiori specializes in French Acrylic Nails and loves to create Japanese style nail art for all of her clients. Currently she is an ORLY Ambassador, sharing her art and passion domestically and abroad.

Elsbeth   Elsbeth Schutz is an internationally renowned celebrity manicurist and educator who brings the world of color theory and artistry to the nail industry. Elsbeth works at high profile entertainment events and programs including the Oscars, Golden Globes, and Dancing with the Stars, and her work is seen regularly in the pages of America’s top beauty and fashion magazines as well as on the nails of celebrities such as Amy Adams, Pamela Anderson, Britney Spears, Teri Hatcher, Hilary Swank, Hillary Scott, Miranda Lambert, Zoe Saldana and more. Elsbeth is part of the glam squad for Uzo Aduba, “Crazy Eyes” from the TV hit series “Orange is the New Black”. Together with Uzo, she was recently featured in People Magazine. A recipient of numerous beauty industry and nail art awards, as well as the winner of America’s NAILS “Mini Masterpiece” Nail Art Contest 2014, Elsbeth is known for her custom nail art, her keen eye for color, and her innate ability to create and identify the newest and hottest trends in the world of nail beauty. Elsbeth works with a Los Angeles-based agency, and is an ORLY Ambassador.

Amy    Amy Becker is a cover artist, US Gel Champion, record holding Top 25 Competitor, 2011 Nailpro Cup Champion and has received Nails Magazines coveted "Nail Technician of the Year" award.  After years of specializing in acrylic nails, Amy discovered the hidden strength and beauty found in gels.  Having developed the techniques used at Masterworks by Amy Becker, she has put her gels to the test in the international competition arena against all acrylics, and won!   Lauren Wireman is an independent nail artist and the creator of Wildflowers Nails. Her work has been featured in the NewsPress, Nail Talk Radio, on the covers of Nail's Magazine and VietSalon, and she has worked on celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, and even dazzled the digits of Jan Arnold. She won second place in the 2014 Nails Magazine's Next Top Nail Artist, and second place on the Oxygen Network's reality show called Nail'd It!
Lauren has been in the beauty industry since 2001, beginning her career at Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She has learned from top educators in the industry and has a very large skill set ranging from simple pink and white manicures, to sculpting 3-D elephants! Her trend-setting work is in high demand in the industry, but her passion is truly teaching!

Sandy   Sandy is a Nail Technician with over seventeen years of experience, fourteen of those years as an industry educator. In addition to perfecting her skills in the salon, she is an award winning Fantasy Nail Art competitor, and her work has been featured in multiple nail industry magazines, and the Milady Standard Nail Technology DVD for cosmetology students. She loves to expand and share her skills in sculptured nails, 3-D acrylic art, Gelish, Gelish art, PolyGel, and all other varieties of nail art. As a Dean of Education with Hand and Nail Harmony she has trained technicians from around the globe, She strives to bring her passion, her expertise, the latest tips, tricks and techniques to each set of nails she creates. She wants you to walk away today with stunning nails!

  Nadja Freund is the President and Founder of Magnetic Nail Design LTD. Magnetic Nail Design LTD is the general importer of Magnetic Nail Design products in North America. Nadja Learned all about nails and the nail industry in Europe and now brings European and Russian nail design trends to North America. She is working with nail artists and nail trainers from all over the world, and combines her experience working in Salons and distributing cosmetic brands to provide nail technicians with the full breadth of her experience, from inspiration, to consulting to service. Nadja is Chief Trainer of Magnetic Education in North America.

  Nancy Bergeron has her own salon in Richmond, B.C. Canada. Nancy is the daughter of famous Canadian Artist Christian Bergeron and always had a passion for drawing and painting. Although fairly new to the world of nails, her passion for marketing and improving her work daily has her growing her social media and clientele at a rapid pace. Nancy is currently finishing her educator training program with Magnetic Nail Design while assisting Nadja Freund on trade shows and classes. Winner of 2nd Place Gel Polish, 3rd Place Fun Sculpture 2015 Vancouver Nail Cup. Tiffany Cordoza    I have been in the nail industry for 8 years. I graduated from nail school and opened B' Polished Salon. 5 years ago I became an educator with Elegant Glass Nails. My husband and I started a nail supply store almost 3 years ago that has quickly grown. We recently opened an official storefront and training center. I have recently taken on the position of senior educator/marketing & web design with Elegant Glass Nails as well as continued to grow my distribution. I also started The Nail Box last year which is a monthly subscription box for nail techs! I love to help others to become confident in their skills and encourage nail artists to see the business side of the nail world by giving them the tools to put more money in their pockets! I am so excited to be with you all at nail camp!!  
       
Tanya Sisson   Educator for CND  
  Serendipity brought Tanya to her true calling as a nail professional in 1989.  An artist inspired by nature she found a creative outlet in 10 petite canvases winning her international award, recognition and publications.  Tanya’s interest in technical & scientific understanding, along with a desire to share & mentor made for a natural progression into education.  Early in her professional pursuits she earned the distinction as one of the top 10 educators with a major nail product manufacturing company.   Recently Tanya returned to education with the CND family.  She enjoys helping other nail professionals find their niche, improve their technical skills and incorporate an artistic style that both compliments and challenges their abilities.    
       
Rachel Dye   Educator for Akzentz  

  Rachel is a veteran from the first NW Nail Retreat many many years ago! She won the novice divisions as a student and has gone on to be an amazing nail tech with a busy business in Marysville, WA. In 2013 she won 2nd in the Veteran Division at the Retreat and brought her amazing artistic skills to the trade show booth for Akentz and looks forward to expanding her educator career as an ACE Educator.

Amy   Michelle has been a nail tech for over 20 years and found a love for educating and more bling! Passions for Gel and 3D wearable art, elite beauty supplies has given her an opportunity to ignite her passions by giving endless creative color opportunities. Amy G will return next year, she is going to be taking care of her BRAND new baby!
